To Book Transport phone 9983 1611

Once a booking has been made you will be telephoned a day or so prior to your outing or individual transport service to confirm pick-up times.

If you are uncertain as to the details of your pick-up time please call the office the day before your trip for clarification.

Eligibility for Service

When you first contact Community Transport you will be assessed as to whether you are eligible for service.

Your eligibility will be determined according to Home and Community Care (HACC) guidelines.

These ensure we provide services for those people considered to be frail/aged or having a disability which prevents them from using regular transport.

The carers of such people may also be eligible for service.

For Assessment contact our office on 9983 1611. You will be asked a series of simple questions and staff will let you know whether they will be able to provide the transport you require.

Fees for Service

Fees charged for transport services are variable.

Fees are paid to the driver at the time of transportation.

If you have any difficulty with our fee structure please contact the Co-ordinator. Inability to pay will not prevent you from receiving service once you have been assessed as being eligible.

Tips for Passengers

Before the Appointment

On the day of your transport service, try to be ready 10-15 minutes before you are to be picked up, just in case the driver is early.

It is a good idea to have everything ready that you might need to take on your trip, such as medications, wallet, purse, destination address and contact phone number or medical referral.

Please wait outside (whenever possible) to assist the driver and fellow passengers.

Going to the Appointment

Other Passengers may be travelling with you. To help arrange your return trip, the driver will give you their phone number to call when you are ready to be taken home.

After the Appointment

Telephone or ask someone to call the mobile number on the card to advise that you are ready to go home.

The driver will let you know an approximate expected meeting time and will confirm the pick up point (usually the same place you were dropped off).

You may have to wait a while for your return trip, sometimes 45 minutes or an hour.
